For rings, please let us know the size of your finger. Ideally, you should ask a jeweller near you. You can also send us the inner diameter (in mm) of an existing ring, but this will always be approximate. Do not send us a photo or drawing, as the reproduction will never reflect the exact size. Example of a metric: 53 and a half.

In jewellery, karat is a measure of the purity of precious metals such as gold. It is measured in thousandths. 18 karat gold in jewellery is represented by a "750" hallmark which represents the 750 parts in a thousand of pure gold in the alloy.
18 ktyellow or rose gold is the ideal alloy to increase the rigidity of gold which is a very soft metal. The mixture preserves the stainless and non-allergenic qualities.
18ktwhite gold consists of 75% yellow gold and 25% silver, copper and palladium. The white gold, which is actually rather grey, is coated with a thin layer of metal, rhodium, to give it its white colour. This layer fades over time and must be renewed by a jeweller with rhodium plating.
14kt gold is not used much in jewellery because it is less pure and looks dirtier. However, it is cheaper, which explains its use in small jewellery shops.
Platinum is much more resistant but more difficult to work with. Its solidity and strength make it the metal of choice for diamond settings. Its intense white glow is natural and does not fade over time.
